World Random Acts of Kindness Day 2021: How to get involved

Spin the wheel to generate a random act of kindness on World Random Acts of Kindness Day (17th February 2021).

Kindness is one of the secrets to a happy life.

Being kind to someone doesn’t just help them, it helps you, too.

Research shows that being kind boosts happiness. When we’re kind, our brains release oxytocin and serotonin – your ‘happy’ hormones.

Undertaking acts of kindness have been shown to improve self-esteem, increase energy levels, reduce stress, and strengthen social bonds.

That’s why we created the Wheel of Kindness. The wheel inspires people to be kind in their daily lives with small and actionable ways to spread kindness.

Get in the spirit for World Kindness Day!

On 17th February 2021, take part in World Kindness Day (also known as World Random Acts of Kindness Day) by completing a random act of kindness.

Your act of kindness can be towards a workmate, family member, friend, or even a stranger.

To get involved, all you need to do is s spin the Wheel of Kindness and complete the action. You’ll make someone’s day, and enjoy the feel-good feeling of being kind.

How it works

  1. Spin the Wheel of Kindness - it will land on a kindness task which you can commit to or choose to spin the wheel again.

  2. Click on the image in the middle of the wheel to flip it and get more detail about your challenge.

  3. Once you commit to a challenge, it will show up on your home screen as a reminder.

  4. Complete the challenge and it will show up on your dashboard.

To find the Wheel of Kindness, go to Training > Be kind in the Mentemia app. Click below to give it a go!
